History
CEMRD was a conscious decision of the SIES management to maintain its competitive edge in the field of education. In a knowledge driven society, knowledge management is the key to success. This is particularly true of an educational institution, which is a repository of knowledge, acquired and developed through various sources and having various channels to share and to communicate the knowledge base at its disposal.
The objective of the CEMRD is to help improve management systems in Industries by providing relevant training to executives at all levels in the industry, government and non-government sectors to take on a leadership role in their position – individually and collectively.


The focus of CEMRD interalia includes :


1) Management development programmes:

  • Successful selling schemes – Johnson & Johnson
  • Finance for Non-finance Executives (2 days programme)
  • Negotiation skills – CIDCO
  • Management Development Programmes for Glenmark, Tracmail
  • Certificate programme for commercial trainees – Siemens

2) Publications (Journals on Management Research as well as occasional publications)

3) Faculty Development programmes through Doctoral/M.Phil programmes consultancy

  • HRD centre
  • Customized Airline related courses in Finance
  • Indian Heritage and Management
  • Hospital Management

The CEMRD also provides advisory services to distance learning programmes in management to be launched under the auspices of the SIES – Centre for Professional and Distance Education (SIES – CPDE) in the premises of the SIES School, Matunga, Mumbai. Our latest addition has been the SIES-RELIANCE Call Centre Training programme.
